It has been so busy behind the Kudzu curtain!

This past month has been crazy.....I've had two catering jobs, a speaking engagement at the homeschool convention, out-of-town guests, an apron swap, and school to get together. I am slowly but surely making progress on the school part! Today's accomplishment was getting our calender together with the new chores for the school year.

On Tuesday, we had our first meeting of our new homeschool group, T.W.I.S.T., which stands for Training Wisely in Service and Truth. It is a service based organization to provide support for moms and homeschooled kids and also to get the kids involved in service projects in the community. We had 18 moms for our first meeting! Old Schoolhouse Magazine donated some wonderful goodie bags for all the moms. It was a great time, with lots of good food! The Richards Family has appreciated eating the leftovers the past two days. We are looking forward to all the upcoming fun times we have planned.

We have two birthdays and our anniversary in the next two weeks! Then we are going on a great trip to Disneyworld with Nana and Papa Richards. None of us have been before (except for Daddy) so we are really excited. The kids have been working on a paper chain which is on the top of our calender....it's getting shorter!

I've also posted a picture of my apron that I made for the apron swap. It came out so cute!

One of Luke's chores is to be the "Snack Factory" on Thursdays. He chooses three snacks to make in bulk for the week. Today it was soft pretzels, banana bread and smoothie popcicles. He also froze some leftover Coke from the party in some penguin ice cube trays for a special treat! Lilly was having fun helping in her new apron from Nya-Nya.
